Coaching

So I have taken on a new adventure in the world of coaching......I'm now coaching sophomore basketball at Orem high.  HAHAHA  I've now understood why I coach softball instead of basketball.  I am so high strung and competitive that coaching younger less experienced players is a challenge.  I have a hard time turning off my "eat you up" defensive mentality in order to explain and coach the game.  Basketball is so fast and so many things are dependent on your opponent that it is hard to teach what exactly to do.  In softball I can say, "They pitch it we hit it, they hit it we catch it."  If its a strike you swing, if its a ball you let it go.  If they are running home you throw to the catcher and catcher you get them out!!!!  But with basketball their are so many right answers and even more wrong ones.  Hahaha I guess that is why you can score 108 points and still lose.  One thing that it is teaching me is that i need to be PATIENT!!!  Easier said than done, but hopefully I can acquire the trait fast so that I can teach them the game before its game time on NOV. 23.  Wish me luck

Caribbean Cruise- AKA best time of my life!!!!

The Girls on Formal Night
Teresa, Amber, Whitney, and Shellie

Swimming with the StingRays in Cayman Islands

Just hours after I walked across the stage at my UVU graduation I was on an airplane headed for Florida to go on a 5 day Western Caribbean Cruise with 3 of the most fun girls ever. With clear blue water, sun blazing down, no homework, and no worries we had a blast that you can not comprehend unless you were there or have been on one. Swimming with the Sting Rays and visiting Hell in the Cayman Islands was just the start of the adventure.......It continued with scaling Dunn River Falls and a Bobsled excursion in Jamaica. Needless to say, we were worn out everyday and the time relaxing couldn't have been any better. I can't wait to go on another one.

Graduation Day

So after 5 years of College education I finally graduate with my bachelors degree in School Health Education!!!!!! Seriously, having that under my belt is the best feeling in the world even though it means that I probably should start thinking about a Masters, but for the moment I am content. I know it won't last long.....so I'm enjoying it now.

Graduation was great and many of my family was there to celebrate my big achievement. I know I couldn't have done it without them and I thank Heavenly Father everyday for the amazing people that are in my life that have encouraged me to be what I am today. Special thanks to my parents for all their love, support, and prayers over the last 5 years. I am forever greatful for all that they do for me. Also thanks to my siblings and their spouses, Kyle & Pam, Jeana & Jon, and Becca & Brett and all of their kids for believing in me. Also a special shout out to both sets of grandparents. Garth and Harriett Hill for the love and financial support, and Dale and Ila Mae for their love and constant prayers on my behalf.

Thanks to all those who behind the scenes helped me through the long nights of homework, lesson plans, stress management, and long talks. You know who you are!!!! Love you all so very much
